Cosmetics regulations in Canada require that all cosmetics be notified to Health Canada at least ten days before they’re sold. Notifications only need to be submitted once, unless the product changes. Health Canada does not charge a fee for this service.
However, to notify a product, the importer, Canadian manufacturer, or vendor must know the full formulation and understand the international naming system for cosmetic ingredients.
