The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is informing cosmetic product facilities, retailers, and industry responsible persons that the agency does not provide certificates or other documents to verify compliance for cosmetic product facility registration.

Cosmetic product facility registration and cosmetic product listing is neither a cosmetic approval program nor a promotional tool. The assignment of a facility registration number or product listing number does not indicate FDA approval of the facility or its cosmetic products.

94% of U.S. Adults Concerned About Frequency of Food Recalls, New Survey Finds – Quality Assurance & Food Safety

Ninety-four percent of U.S. adults say they are concerned about the frequency of food recalls, up slightly from 93% in 2025, according to a new consumer survey commissioned by GS1 US. At the same time, fewer people believe food recalls are effective in protecting public health and safety (80% compared to 85% in 2025), underscoring consumers’ diminishing trust in the U.S. food supply, GS1 US said.
